What is Chiropody?
Chiropody treatment is regulated by the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and is a specialized health care profession which focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of foot and lower extremity disorders.
Chiropody at The Functional Approach
At The Functional Approach our chiropodist is trained to assess and diagnose various foot disorders, including structural abnormalities, skin and nail disorders, biomechanical issues and other injuries. Our chiropodist will then be able to provide you with an appropriate evidence-based intervention which may include footwear education, custom orthotics, nail care, callus and corn removal, wound care and soft tissue surgeries, compression stockings, injection therapy or shockwave therapy.
